My counselling practice has developed over time to incorporate CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) interventions, mindfulness, and therapeutic hypnosis where appropriate. I offer solution focussed therapy and also offer longer term counselling if a client feels they want that option.
I work part time as a counsellor for a local charity in Stockport and have done for over ten years. Currently I’m on the team providing counselling support for Stockport and Tameside council employees.
As a counsellor I am committed to keeping my practice relevant and up to date. I look to widen my expertise by continuing my professional development – recent training I have undertaken includes providing online counselling – a coronavirus primer (BACP and Open University course) and Single Session “One At A Time Therapy” (delivered by Windy Dryden).
How it works:
I offer a complementary initial half hour session where we can meet to ensure I am the right counsellor for you. Subsequent to that we can arrange ongoing sessions at a mutually convenient time.
Costs:
£45 per session which lasts an hour.
